About Us

After getting my catering qualifications, I worked at Newton Rigg College, in the kitchens as a cook for 10 years.
After I had my first child, I worked at Morrison’s supermarket in various positions before starting my bed and breakfast business.

For guests arriving into the village near the phone box. Go past the no through road sign, you should see my bed and breakfast sign on the right-hand side.

I have an electric gate near my bed and breakfast sign, near the bush on the drivers side is a box with a button on it. Press the button and the gate will open.

Follow around, you will see a sign with an arrow on it you are ‘here’!

I have one step into the reception 17cm high a threshold of 6cm. The external door is a standard 84cm.

A gravel drive leads to my door. The house has a concrete path around it.

I have two rooms all on ground floor level, cars can park near the entrance.

A sensor light comes on when it is dark. In the garden we have solar lights near the gravel drive.

A passage connects the bedrooms to the dining room. It has a sensor light and an emergency light in it. All doors are a standard 76cm apart from room 2 it has a smaller door into the en-suite shower bathroom (no bath) 69cm door.

My rooms are not accessible for people with mobility problems. The beds are solid wood and can not be moved. Only the single bed in room 1, its a divan with a guest bed underneath.

I have a bell in the reception a guest may ring for attention, I will do my best to help.

All rooms are carpet apart from the bathroom floor which is non-slip flooring.

I have emergency lighting in the bedrooms and hall. The rooms are not completely dark. The emergency light gives off a slight green light.
